This is due to the lack of larger family homes available within social housing in Glasgow.
The City Wide Transfer Incentive Scheme supports those social housing tenants who reside in larger properties , 4+ bedrooms ( 3+ if underoccupied by 2 bedrooms) to move to smaller properties , more approriate for their needs.
There is help towards costs of:
Assistance with current rent arrears • Re-chargeable repairs • Removal costs • Decoration • New blinds/curtains • Floor coverings • Disconnection and reconnection of appliances • Additional costs of practical assistance (up to £500)
